Ocean City Spring Activities
OC Island to Island Half Marathon/5k – Saturday, April 28th, 7:00am – 1:00pm
Start your journey from the beautiful Assateague Island, run the scenic route 611 and finish in the historic downtown Inlet. Your post party begins once you cross the finish line with a fun and entertaining post-race party with food, refreshments, live music and award ceremony.
Springfest – Thursday, May 3rd – Sunday, May 6th
What better way to kick off the summer season than with a FREE four-day festival in Ocean City, MD? Enjoy delicious food, live music and a variety of family fun activities. Enjoy exciting acts by Rolling Stones cover band Satisfaction, country music singer Trace Adkins and rock legend Bret Michaels! Springfest celebrates the arrival of spring and the upcoming summer season. Enjoy 4 huge big-top tents located in the Inlet Lot at the south end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk, for a little fun in the sun.
First Friday Opening Reception for May Exhibits – Friday, May 4th, 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Meet the artists, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, and see the new exhibits featuring a variety of local artists. Complimentary refreshments will be served, and admission is free.
Originals Only – May 4th, 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Enjoy live original music by local musicians, following the First Friday Opening Reception! Music starts at 7:30pm. Suggested $5 donation. Coffee provided.
The Big Get-Together – May 9th, 6:00pm – 9:00pm
A getting together of hand-crafted art, beer, food, and friends. Come party and taste delicious local cuisine paired with craft beer and local art. Featuring 3 breweries, 6 restaurants, artisans, and live music by the Full Circle Duo. Sponsored by the OC Foodie Tour and Shore Craft Beer. $35 to benefit the Art League of Ocean City.
Spring Movie Night Sunset Park – May 11th, 8:30pm

Lyme Awareness 5k on the Boards – May 12th, 9:00am
“HELP FIGHT THE BITE” at the 3rd annual event to raise awareness for Lyme disease! ALL AGES WELCOME! Registration: 8:00am at the Inlet Parking Lot. Finish line festivities & awards immediately following the race. Post-race party at The Cork Bar @ 3 Wicomico St. Enjoy food, drinks & fun!
Beachfest Volleyball Festival – Saturday, May 12th – 13th
Head down the shore for the Beachfest volleyball tournament! This tournament originated in Ocean City, MD with 40 teams and has exploded in popularity over the past three years growing to over 200 teams in 2017!!
Crab Soup Cook-Off and Festival – Saturday, May 12th, 12:00pm – 3:00pm
This family event becomes more popular each year. Entertainment for the kids, exhibits, and live music enhance the main event, a crab soup cook-off with local professional chefs competing for the title of “Best Crab Soup.” Adding to the fun, the public can sample and vote. $15 per person. Rain date: June 2, 2018.
The Rat Pack Together Again! – Saturday, May 12th, 7:30pm
A thrilling night of great music and song. Experience Frank, Dean, and Sammy perform with their 8-piece Big Band, Swingtopia. Cruisin’ Ocean City – Thursday, May 17th – Monday, May 20th
This popular car show features over 3,400 hot rods, customs, classics, street machines, muscle cars and more. Live entertainment, celebrity guests, special attractions, boardwalk parades, manufacturers, vendor midway and more. Boardwalk parades on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings from 7am to 10am. Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will be taking the stage Thursday, May 17th at the OC Performing Arts Center. Express Auctioneers will be returning to Cruisin Ocean City Thursday, May 17th and Friday, May 18th for the OC Collector Car Auction inside the OC Convention Center. Canadian Forces Snowbirds Jet Demonstration Team – Wednesday, May 23rd, 2:00pm
The Canadian Air Force Snowbirds will take to the sky over Ocean City, Maryland, Wednesday, May 23, for a special air show featurette. The Snowbirds nine aircraft demonstration will include proximity formation passes and aerobatics bringing thrilling performances to the North American public. Serving as ambassadors of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), the Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of skill, professionalism, teamwork, discipline and dedication inherent in the men and women of the CAF and they inspire the pursuit of excellence.
Brown Box Theatre Presents: Broadway – Wednesday, May 23rd, 8:00pm
With almost 30 Broadway songs to choose from, each performance is unique based on the selection of that evening’s audience. Upon arrival, each audience member votes for their top three choices from a series of different musical theatre categories, including “The Golden Age,” “Contemporary Musicals,” “Disney on Broadway,” and more. Brown Box curates that night’s show on the spot in this interactive, family friendly evening, where performances of what YOU consider the best of Broadway. Tickets: $15
Spring Movie Night Northside Park – Friday, May 25th, 8:30pm

Rescues Rock the Runway Fashion Show – Saturday, May 26th, 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Pet Threadz invites you to a PET EXPO & FASHION SHOW, “Rescues Rock the Runway”. All funds raised from this event will go towards the homeless pets of Worcester County. Expo includes pet vendors, informational seminars, and the main event – A fashion show for you and your fur baby!! Event admission is a minimum $10 donation or pet supplies towards the humane society. This donation includes all seminars and entry for your fur baby to the main event – a Fashion Show for all types of pets. Berlin’s Memorial Day Parade – Monday, May 28th, 11:00am – 4:00pm
Join with Berlin to honor our veterans with a Memorial Day parade and community festival at Dr. William Henry Park located on Flower Street. Parade begins at Stephen Decatur Middle School at 11:00 am and ends at the park. Vendor booths, activities for the children, yard sale tables and lots of food, entertainment and fun.
